The Rock is running for President, or at least Dwayne Johnson is running for President in the set up for the brand-new NBC series “Young Rock”. The series is certainly far from your ordinary run-of-the-mill sitcom, as it features a semi-autobiographical into the life of Dwayne Johnson and how he became “The Rock”. The series stars Dwayne Johnson, himself, and then three other actors portray Johnson and different stages throughout his life. Adrian Groulx plays Johnson as a kid living in Hawaii, Bradley Constant plays him as a teen in Pennsylvania who shoplifted and seemed destined to fall down the wrong path and Uli Latukefu showcases him as a University of Miami football player. Johnson bookends each episode with interviews that take place in the year 2032 with a journalist played by Randall Park as he reflects on these aspects of his life while on the campaign trail. The storylines featured in the series begin with time spent with his father, wrestler Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson, and his legendary wrestling buddies including Andre the Giant. The entertainment world was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of beloved James Bond actor Sean Connery at the age of 90. The late actor’s widow, Micheline Roquebrune, spoke with news outlet the Daily Mail and revealed that Connery had been suffering from dementia in the last few months leading up to his passing. “He had dementia and it took its toll on him,” Roquebrune explained. “He got his final wish to slip away without any fuss.” Roquebrune also went on to say, “He was gorgeous and we had a wonderful life together. He was a model of a man. It is going to be very hard without him, I know that. But it could not last forever and he went peacefully.” The news of Connery’s passing was confirmed on Saturday, October 31, 2020, and his rep revealed that Connery passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family including Roquebrune and his sons Jason and Stephane. The new HBO Max series Raised By Wolves has just begun streaming and the series is already receiving a ton of praise from both fans and critics alike. The show is truly like nothing we have seen done before within the science fiction genre as it focuses more on the idea of relationships and humanity rather than gadgets and machines. This is definitely due in part to the phenomenal writing by creator Aaron Guzikowski. The show was created by Aaron Guzikowski and Ridley Scott and focuses on the relationship between androids and humans after mass devastation has taken place on Earth. There is a much deeper thread that runs throughout this series, as it focuses on various aspects of human relationships, survival, religion and beliefs and so much more. Preston is survived by her husband John Travolta and their children: daughter Ella, 20, and 9-year-old son Benjamin. Son Jett died at age 16 in January 2009. After much speculation, it has been revealed that Warner Bros. Television, The CW, and Berlanti Productions have revealed that Javicia Leslie has been cast as the new Batwoman. Javicia will make her debut in the iconic cape and cowl when “Batwoman” returns to The CW for its second season in January 2021, airing Sundays at 8:00–9:00 pm ET/PT. With this casting news, it has also been revealed that Javicia will become the first Black actress to portray Batwoman in a live-action television or film production. Sadly, it appears that the authorities have turned their rescue mission into a recovery mission as the search continues for missing actress Naya Rivera, who is best known for playing the character of Santana on FOX’s “Glee”. Rivera is now presumed dead after she disappeared at a lake in southern California after taking a boating and swimming trip with her four-year-old son. According to the Ventura County sheriff’s office, “We’re presuming that an accident happened and we’re presuming she drowned in the lake,” Deputy Chris Dyer said at a news conference Thursday. Search and rescue efforts for the actress have now shifted to a recovery operation, Dyer said. “The goal is still to bring Miss Rivera home to her family,” he said. Rivera, who was just 33 years old, rented a pontoon boat with her young son at Lake Piru when she disappeared on Wednesday evening, July 8, 2020. We are saddened that it has been revealed that Netflix has canceled “Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina” and the series will come to a conclusion with part 4. The final season will consist of only eight episodes. Netflix says that the final season will begin streaming sometime in late 2020 and promises as “spooky, sexy & supernatural series finale”.
