Seaford– The Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Gregory Wilkinson of Seaford for Burglary and related charges.
On Sunday, August 9, 2020, at approximately 1:34 a.m., Troopers responded to Orange Blossom Lane, Seaford for a burglary. Upon Troopers arrival they made contact with a 42 year-old female victim from Seaford, who advised when she returned home a subject was inside of her residence. Troopers observed evidence that entrance was made through a window to the residence. After Troopers cleared the interior of the residence, State Police K-9 assisted with a search for the suspect. The K-9 track led to the rear of the property where Troopers discovered a male laying on the ground near bushes. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and identified as Gregory Wilkinson. Investigation determined during the burglary Wilkinson damaged and removed the victim’s belongings.
Wilkinson was transported to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following crimes:
- Burglary 2rd Degree (Felony)
- Criminal Mischief
Wilkinson was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $4,000.00 secured bond.
